When it comes to the composition and mechanical properties of Stainless Steel 321/321H Welded Tubing, 321 is an austenitic stainless steel that contains 17–19% Chromium, 9–12% Nickel, and Titanium (at least five times the carbon content) to prevent carbide precipitation. The 321H variant, which has a higher carbon content (0.04–0.10% Carbon), offers enhanced strength at high temperatures. Both grades boast a tensile strength of at least 515 MPa, a yield strength of at least 205 MPa, and an elongation of 35–40%. They also show excellent oxidation resistance up to 900°C and possess good creep and stress rupture properties, making them ideal for extended use in high-temperature and pressure environments, especially after welding.
