Nickel alloy welded tubing is produced from flat-rolled strips of nickel alloy shaped and longitudinally welded with state-of-the-art welding techniques like laser welding or TIG welding. These tubes are usually produced with high-performance alloys such as Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy, and Nickel 200/201. These exhibit superior corrosion resistance, high tensile strength (commonly 600–1000+ MPa), and high resistance to oxidation and heat degradation. Post-weld heat treatments and removal of weld beads provide uniformity, structural integrity, and smooth internal surface, which allow such tubes to be used where both strength and clean fluid flow are needed.
