Welded tubing of stainless steels 310 and 310S is essentially made up of 24–26% chromium and 19–22% nickel, giving them a good resistance to oxidation, including continuous use at temperatures up to 1100°C. The 310S content is lower in carbon, making it less prone to sensitization and more weldable. These tubes provide a tensile strength of around 515 MPa and a yield strength of 205 MPa, coupled with satisfactory ductility and toughness under high and low temperatures.
