Stainless Steel 310H is an austenitic alloy consisting of 24–26% chromium, 19–22% nickel, and minor quantities of carbon (max 0.25%) and manganese. This enhances corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and high-temperature strength. Mechanically, it has a yield strength of around 205 MPa and tensile strength of around 515 MPa. The tubing also exhibits good formability and weldability. These characteristics make 310H tubing an excellent choice for heat exchangers and other industrial uses where thermal stability, strength, and resistance to corrosive conditions are imperative.
